FILM SCREENING IN DUBLIN
Let Lemass Lead On!
On Wednesday 11 November at 6.30pm the Irish Film Archive, in association with the Royal Irish Academy, will screen a programme of short documentaries and newsreels made during the years of Sean Lemass's tenure to mark the 50th anniversary of his election as Taoiseach. The event will take place in the Irish Film Institute, 6 Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2. The programme will be introduced by Tom Garvin, author of Judging Lemass.
Tickets: €9.20 (€8 IFI members)

READING IN DUBLIN
Irish author Sean Hillen will be speaking about his new book "Digging for Dracula" at the Waterstone's bookshop on Dawson street on Thursday, October 27th, at 7 pm. Don't miss this great opportunity to get into the mood for Halloween!
DUBLIN ZOO TOURS
During the Great Irish Book Week, Catherine de Courcy will be giving tours of the historical sites in Dublin Zoo. Catherine will tell stories of the animals, keepers and visitors in their historical context. Places of interest along the tour will include the veranda of Haughton House, South America House, the Roberts House, Society House, the original entrance lodge and the lake.

READINGS IN DUBLIN AND GALWAY
A Reading from Poetry: Reading It, Writing It, Publishing It will take place at Charlie Byrne's Bookshop, Middle St., Galway, on the 24th October. The readers will be Susan Millar DuMars, Celeste Auge, Kevin Higgins, James Harrold, Joan McBreen, Caroline Lynch and Gerry Hanberry. The readers will be introduced by Jessie Lendennie.
Another Reading from Poetry: Reading It, Writing It, Publishing It will take place at Chapters Bookshop, Dublin, on the 27th October. The readers will be Seamus Cashman, Anne Fitzgerald, Celia de Freine, Joan McBreen, Nessa O'Mahony and Maurice Harmon. They will also be introduced by Jessie Lendennie.
